Spycat and the Paper Chase: 10th Anniversary

Today marks TEN YEARS since the premiere of Spycat and the Paper Chase!

This award-winning animated short film was created by Darren Lim, Fung Chun Hong, Derwin Silamaya Suhali and Soh Yu Xian as a final year project at Nanyang Technological University’s School of Art, Design and Media (ADM) in 2011. Since then, the film has been presented in 33 countries over five continents, with almost 1000 screenings to date. Today, Spycat lives on in the Ace Agent Spycat children’s book series, published by Epigram Books.

Join Spycat as he hunts down Captain Chico, whose latest scheme involves robbing the world of every paper product there is. The pursuit takes Spycat to colourful Tokyo, then aboard Captain Chico’s airship for a climactic showdown between cat and dog.

We’ve just been informed that Spycat will be shown at the Bras Basah.Bugis Arts Sprawl in Singapore this weekend!

The Bras Basah.Bugis Arts Sprawl celebrates the vibrant and bustling arts, heritage and design district through an array of exciting programmes, street art and many more within the sub-zones of Bras Basah.Bugis. Set along what was once a lively school district, this edition of the quarterly programme series adopts the theme of ‘Never Growing Up’ this June school holidays at Queen Street.

Colour a mural, learn how to make a little something at our craft workshops, catch a film screening or pamper yourself at The Local People art market and more! Join us for a fantastic time at the Bras Basah.Bugis Arts Sprawl!

Spycat and the Paper Chase is proud to be part of The Cosmos of Animation, which is the 28^th Annual Conference of the Society for Animation Studies!

This year’s conference will be held at the School of Art, Design & Media (ADM), Nanyang Technological University, Singapore from 26 to 30 June 2016.
