The Spycat revival continues with the ADM20 Retrospective!

After making its big-screen return at Animation Nation, Spycat and the Paper Chase will once again be showcased in a cinema!

This time, the film is part of the ADM20 Retrospective: 20 Years of Storytelling screenings, celebrating two decades of bold, imaginative storytelling from Nanyang Technological University’s School of Art, Design and Media.

Spycat is back on the big screen at Animation Nation!

Can you believe it’s been almost a decade since Spycat and the Paper Chase last had a public screening?

This October, catch Spycat and the Paper Chase on the big screen as part of Animation Nation’s Best of NTU ADM retrospective. The programme features 12 animated shorts created by students of Nanyang Technological University’s School of Art, Design and Media over the past 20 years—films that have since screened and won awards at prestigious film festivals around the world.

Spycat and the Paper Chase: 10th Anniversary

Today marks TEN YEARS since the premiere of Spycat and the Paper Chase!

This award-winning animated short film was created by Darren Lim, Fung Chun Hong, Derwin Silamaya Suhali and Soh Yu Xian as a final year project at Nanyang Technological University’s School of Art, Design and Media (ADM) in 2011. Since then, the film has been presented in 33 countries over five continents, with almost 1000 screenings to date. Today, Spycat lives on in the Ace Agent Spycat children’s book series, published by Epigram Books.

Join Spycat as he hunts down Captain Chico, whose latest scheme involves robbing the world of every paper product there is. The pursuit takes Spycat to colourful Tokyo, then aboard Captain Chico’s airship for a climactic showdown between cat and dog.
